What is Quomodo?
Thanks to Quomodo, one can easily create an exclusive space for his family, his group of friends, his club, etc.
At Quomodo, everyone can communicate, share, and synchronize with his kin and kith, from anywhere, in a fully private personal web space, that he can use from any computer on the Internet.
Soon, Quomodo will offer more, proposing free and charged services to ease or embellish your everyday life, notably including
smartnotes.
Who can offer smartnotes?
Creating a smartnote requires to know how to use HTML, Javascript, and the CSS. You should have, at least a web browser and a text editor, and preferably a web server (local) and a specialised HTML and Javascript editor.
No need for a public web server : Quomodo will host your smartnote for you.
Why make smartnotes?
- a smartnote is easy to develop : a beginner programmer can create a smartnote in one hour, simply in Javascript and without any other language,
- the smartnotes are to be used in the frame of a space shared by a group or a family. They represent therefore a real tool for communicating and exchanging, that several people use at the same time,
- they can make their authors earn money.
What kind of service should a smartnote provide?
Quomodo is committed to developing services useful everyday for each single person, but all the more for a group. Spread families, work groups, and communities will be using the smartnotes to communicate and act together in an efficient, pleasant, and easy way.
The service that a smartnote provides must be helpful enough for the customers to be willing to pay for it, as modestly as it be.
What is the role of Quomodo?
The Quomodo team is there to :
- help you and find an answer to your questions,
- share the ideas of smartnotes on the outcome of users' feedbacks,
- organise the connection and the cooperation between several authors, for example programmers and non-programmers,
- organise and enlarge the offer creating the services needed to meet the demands that are not yet satisfied.
Who will use Quomodo?
Quomodo will be open to everyone, in English and in French for the launching. We shall communicate and propose services to identified targets, expecting to reach different communities through families and groups of friends, associations and small businesses. The access to the website as well as to some of the basic services shall be free, in order to attract the largest audience possible, while other services shall be charged.
When?
The official launching of the service shall take place in September 2007.
Can I really make some income at Quomodo?
Yes. According to the market surveys that we have carried out, we are confident that our different targets are ready to pay for services that would be of use in their everyday life. We will consequently propose them truly useful services, whether as flash purchases, or as a part of a package, included in a subscription.
The rule for the authors' earnings is simple : Quomodo shares 50/50 of the net incomes it receives (that is, minus the banking charges) with the authors.
